Founded in 2020 by Owain Bancroft, a master carpenter and project manager with over 16 years of experience, Bancs has grown into one of the region’s most respected high end builders. Our work is guided by professionalism, integrity, and a deep understanding of both design and construction.
We collaborate closely with clients, architects, and consultants to deliver projects that marry technical excellence with design sensitivity. From concept to completion, our process is built on open communication, proactive management, and a shared commitment to achieving the highest standards.
Our residential portfolio includes bespoke new builds, transformative renovations, and full-scale refurbishments. Homes defined by refined craftsmanship, architectural detail, and a seamless finish. ACCREDITATIONS
The FMB is a non-profit trade association run by builders, for builders. They are the largest trade association in the UK, aiming to protect small to medium construction companies whilst helping to guide legislation and training to more sustainable and safe building practices.
We are proud accredited members of the FMB (Federation of Master Builders), and our Managing Director, Owain Bancroft, is also a board member.

Every year, a selection of the finest local businesses are invited to the Swansea Bay Business Awards. At the start of 2025, we were one of the select businesses that had been noticed and invited to join the celebration. We are incredibly proud to say that we were the recipients of the Highly Commended award in the Trade & Construction category. It’s always a very rewarding feeling to know that our dedication to quality service and hard work, in all aspects of what we do is noticed and appreciated.
We work closely with CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) who are the industry training board for the construction sector in England, Scotland, and Wales. It’s their job to help the construction industry attract talent and to support skills development, to build a better Britain.
By utilising CITB’s training programs, we ensure that our staff receive the highest standard of professional development. This enables us to maintain our reputation for excellence and deliver superior craftsmanship on every project.
At Bancs, we are dedicated to ensuring that we minimise our impact on the environment. We actively seek to find ways of giving back to nature.
We are now an official partner of The Greener Earth Project, a reforestation charity who are on a mission to plant 1 million trees.
We are happy to say that Bancs has pledged to plant 1000+ trees a year, with the aim of replacing the timber we use in our projects, and ensuring that all of the projects we complete are as eco-conscious and environmentally friendly as possible.

Owain and the team at Bancs, from first time meeting them to the finishing up, have been professional, understanding, creative and very good at there job
The room they created for me is perfect and I can’t fault them.
The oak beams look amazing and the carpentry is faultless creating a beautiful space
The roof was curved and had its technical issues but once again this was not a problem from the team and it has been built perfect and looks amazing
I highly recommend them and would use them again as I plan to with a new project I have in mind
