A high-quality led carpentry and building company with a dedicated team who work with passion and diligence to deliver the finest quality craftsmanship throughout and provide extraordinary detail.
The Boot Room
This project was done in collaboration with Punchline Carpentry. Our client had asked for a bespoke, handmade bootroom for the storage of their wet weather garments. Collectively, we designed, made and fitted this gorgeous array of cabinets and wardrobes to meet all of the clients needs. The work completed featured custom elements such as beautiful paneling and clever storage solutions. With hints of gorgeous oak throughout, this project was a real pleasure on which to work. The project was finished in classic Farrow and Ball colorways. We are proud to display our fine joinery skills in projects such as these and encourage anyone looking for bespoke storage solutions to get in touch.
Langland Close
Our work on Langland Close centered around replacing an existing extension. The client had struggled with leaks from a poorly fitted flat roof so opted for a pitched roof replacement with two velux windows to provide as much natural light in the kitchen space as possible. We provided the structural brick and timbver work before handing the project over to our friends at McCarthy Roofing to finish. After the space had been made watertight, plastered and decorated, we installed the kitchen of our clients dreams – providing them with ample space for storage. This extension job will serve our clients well for decades to come. If you’d like to modernise an existing space, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Larkespur Drive
This project on Larkspur Drive was a pleasure to work on. The clients stipulated that they’d like to replace their outdated and aged conservatory and together we came up with some designs for a modern yet timeless alternative. This single story extension was a joy to work on. The team here at Bancs were involved in every stage of the process, working with our partners and clients to deliver a space which had a finish of the highest quality. We constructed the foundations before installing the necessary brick work and fitting a delightful pitched roof. Our friends at McCarthy Roofing, as always, did a sterling job installing a gorgeous slate roof sourced from sustainable quarries in Wales. Aspect Aluminium installed gorgeous bi-fold windows and doors, allowing the space to be opened up in the summer. We finished the cladding in red cedar before creating bespoke furnishings inside including a delightful bench seat.

“Owain and his team were an absolute delight to have working on our extension.
They worked to a very high standard, checking regularly with us on their progress nothing was too much trouble.
Every evening they left our property clean and tidy ready for the next day.
Everything went so smoothly, they were professional, punctual, polite and excellent at communicating.
We would highly recommend them and have done so on numerous occasions.
Looking forward to their return to complete phase two in the near future.
We wish them all the best”

Lower Pitton Farmhouse
This traditional barn conversion in the heart of Gower showcased all the technical and creative skills honed by the Bancs teams’ decades of experience. Our client had asked for a conversion of the living space of his dilapidated, single story, farmhouse. We came up with a design that fitted with the aesthetic of the century old dwelling, celebrating the pitched and curved roof with a beautiful, handcrafted, weight bearing oak frame. The vaulted ceiling was left open to create a living space which felt airy and vast. The exterior was finished in reclaimed Welsh slate by our friends at McCarthy Roofing and our friends at Aspect Aluminium provided six beautiful velux windows, allowing glimpses through to the sky and creating a space which was filled with natural light throughout the day. Oak featured through the finishing of the job including the installation of a beautiful oak mantle.

“Owain and the team at Bancs are brilliant. From first time meeting them to the finishing up, they have been professional, understanding, creative and very good at their job.
The room they created for me is perfect and I can’t fault them.
The oak beams look amazing and the carpentry is faultless creating a beautiful space.
The roof was curved and had its technical issues, but once again this was not a problem from the team. It has been built perfectly and looks amazing
I highly recommend them and would use them again as I plan to with a new project I have in mind.”

Caswell Avenue
Our work on Caswell Avenue included fitting a modern pitched dormer roof on a self build project. This dormer roof compliments this lovely property on the Gower Peninsula. Our team were responsible for fitting the necessary structural steel and joists before laying a new weyrock floor. After this was achieved we installed a timber framed, pitched, dormer roof and brand new UPVC windows. The client had specified that they’d like a natural wood cladding so we decided on a sustainable Siberian larch finish, a product which will age as gracefully as this beautiful house deserves. After our partners at McCarthy Roofing had finished, the roof with gorgeous fibre concrete slate, we were able to complete our assigned work, fitting fascias and soffits, installing gutters and downpipes and insulating the whole project before fitting plasterboard inside. This gorgeous property was then handed back to the clients for decorating.

Northway
This property in Northway was a new build which Bancs has handled from start to finish. The project was completed in two stages while the client generated further capital to finish the project to the highest possible standard. Part one of the project involved the building of the structure and the installation of the roof. The client chose to install dormer windows into their upstairs, maximizing the space available to them. We finished the exterior with a red cedar cladding, which is a product that will age gracefully over it’s lifetime. Stage one was completed by fitting fascias and soffits and installing gutters and downpipes. We are extremely excited to get started on the second stage of this build.
